Task Force Danger Soldiers capture suspect, weapons
 

TIKRIT, Iraq - Task Force Danger Soldiers captured a suspected anti-Coalition insurgent and destroyed weapons sites during operations April 21.

Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 11th Field Artillery Regiment discovered and destroyed a rocket launch site near Kirkuk around 4 p.m. Two rockets were aimed at a nearby Coalition base.

In another incident, an Iraqi citizen led Soldiers from the 65th Engineer Battalion and explosive ordnance disposal teams to a suspected minefield near Kirkuk around 7 p.m. The Soldiers discovered two anti-personnel mines at the location. The site was marked for a later destruction.

Finally, Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment detained a suspected anti-Coalition militant during a raid near Huwijah about 10:30 p.m. The suspect was transported to a Coalition facility for questioning.
