1st Battalion is in Iraq and continues to live up to the Wolfhound legacy. From Closing in and destroying the enemy, to helping the local populace, we set the standards. Our leaders, from the battalion commander, the company commanders, the First Sergeants, and Soldiers all continue to do the right thing. They amaze me on a daily basis, never shirking from responsibility or putting themselves first, from pulling KP to running patrols, it is always about their brothers left and right.

I am sending two pictures, one of myself and the A co 1SG, and the other of "old Glory" flying over the FOB (Forward Operating Base).
