Soldiers from 2nd Bn., 27th Inf. Rgt. participate in the "Wolfhound Mortar Top Gun Competition." The competition, which was held Oct. 28 to 31, was designed to identify the best mortar crew in the battalion and to build cohesion between the battalion’s mortarmen. It included an Army Physical Fitness Test with chinups, a written exam on mortar knowledge, tasks associated with firing a mortar, a 5-mile relay run, day and night land navigation, a squad equipment run, confidence course, grappling and an 8-mile foot march. The team from Co. C, made up of Sgt. Hermino Rodriguez, Pvt. 2 James Bishop, Pvt. 2 David Devigili and Pvt. Darren Barbara won the competition.
