Lineage and Honors
of the 27th US Infantry Regiment
The
Department of the Army determines the lineage and honors for
the 27th Infantry "WOLFHOUNDS" Regiment and all four
battalions. The Lineage and Honors Certificate is an outline
of the unit’s organizational history and is a legal,
accountable document that is issued only to the commander of
the unit.
Presented here are
copies modified for display on your computer screen but are
substantially the same as certificates issued by the
Commander, U.S. Army Center of Military History. Please
note, due to staffing reductions, the center has a
considerable backlog of lineage and honors updates and most
current certificate is dated 1996. Lineage, honors, and
campaign participation for Operation Enduring Freedom,
Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the Global War on Terrorism
have not yet been included.
For additional
information see the Center of Military History's
lineage and honors information.
